.Thought to be a target for Barcelona, Pepe Reina's future has been under intense speculation following the arrival of former Sunderland 'keeper Simon Mignolet at Anfield. Despite Brendan Rodgers insistence that the signing of the Belgian is to increase competition for places, it will be hard to see Reina accepting a spot on the Liverpool bench should Mignolet get the nod ahead of him.

.While Pepe Reina faces a fight with Simon Mignolet for a first team spot, Brad Jones faces being relegated to third choice once more. The Australian is seemingly content to play little football, but Liverpool may decide to get him off the wage bill if Reina stays and promote promising reserve goalkeeper Danny Ward to senior duty if the need arises.

.The big story of the summer from Liverpool continues to centre around Luis Suarez's 'will he, won't he?' decision to leave the club. Undoubtedly one of the world's finest attackers, the loss of Suarez could be catastrophic to the Reds' bid for a top four spot next season. Should he leave, his likeliest destination appears to be Real Madrid, although Italian giants Juventus look to be an option.

Another player touted for an Anfield exit, the arrival of Kolo Toure and rumoured pursuit of Ajax captain Toby Alderweireld has cast doubt over Martin Skrtel's Liverpool future. Should he leave the club, the Slovakian would have no problems in finding a new club, with former club Zenit St. Petersburg reportedly interested, while ex-Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez could take him to Napoli after admitting his fondness for his old charge.___________________________
.Sebastian Coates' time in England has been a major flop, with the Uruguayan failing to live up to initial expectations. While he has proven his abilities on an international level, for Liverpool, Coates has seemed a liability at times, not least during the Reds' FA Cup loss to Oldham last season. Rodgers has kept his cards close to his chest, admitting he will 'wait to see what the summer brings', but it doesn't look good for Coates.

.Having spent the whole of last season on loan at Bolton, it seems increasingly likely that Jay Spearing's long-term future lays away from Liverpool. The Melwood academy graduate is being heavily linked with a move to newly-relegated Wigan, who see the battle-hardened midfielder as an integral part of their bid to regain Premier League status and with competition in the Liverpool starting XI fierce it increasingly looks like he could leave in the coming weeks.
